EU Continues to Help Restore the Country after the Floods

Obrenovac, 30 June 2014 – Director of the Government Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief, Marko Blagojevic and President of the European Commission, JoséManuel Barroso, emphasized yesterday in Obrenovac that EU would continue to support Serbia in removing the consequences of recent floods.

Obrenovac, 28 June 2014 – Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, attended today the commencement of construction of the first ten housing units in Obrenovac for citizens who lost their homes during the floods. Their completion is planned in two months.

 

Final Assessment of Flood Induced Damage by 9 July

Belgrade, 23 June 2014 – Director of the Government Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief, Marko Blagojevic, announced last night that the final assessment of flood induced damage, including the prevention measures for that natural disaster, would be completed by 9 July.

Belgrade, 10 June 2014 – Director of the Government Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief, Marko Blagojevic said earlier today that Serbia would receive financial aid in the amount of 1.8 million USD from the United Nations (UN) in the days to come.

Ub, 6 June2014 – Director of the Government Office for Reconstruction and Flood Relief, Marko Blagojevic and the Ambassador of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to Serbia, Juma Rashid Al Dhaheri handed over on this day the packages with food and household chemicals to 25 of the most vulnerable families in UB.
